Premier League Darts 2025 Night One Belfast: Preview and Predictions

Thursdays just got better with the return of the Premier League of Darts in 2025. The darts season for the calendar year is well underway with the most recent tournament, the Winmau World Masters having just concluded.

Luke Humphries defeated Jonny Clayton in the final 6-5 in what was one of the best tv finals in some time. ‘Coolhand’ now sets his sights on the first week of the Premier League in Belfast this Thursday.

Eight of the best darts players will begin 17 weeks of action with the top four heading to the O2 Arena at the end of May. Everything you need to know ahead of this week's opening event below.

Night One Fixtures

The format for the Premier League is unchanged. The eight players will battle it out in a quarter finals, semi finals and finals format each night, allowing for high intensity competitive action.

The first week of action is key for early points that could be crucial come the end of the 16th week of action. Night One fixtures can be found below;

Chris Dobey vs Gerwyn Price

Stephen Bunting vs Rob Cross

Luke Littler vs Michael Van Gerwen

Nathan Aspinall vs Luke Humphries

A clear standout tie from the opening night sees Littler take on Van Gerwen. A repeat of the 2025 World Championship Final promises to guarantee a highly competitive game against two of the sports best characters and players.

Predictions

The Premier League nights are often hard to predict, however we’re going to predict the score of each quarter final and predict the night winner each and every single week.

Find the predictions for the opening four games and the overall winner for night one here;

Dobey 3-6 Price

Bunting 6-4 Cross

Littler 6-5 Van Gerwen

Aspinall 2-6 Humphries

Overall, we’re predicting that Bunting will win the first night of the Premier League. The ‘Bullet’ has been in great form to start the year despite an earlier exit from the World Masters.

It’s also Bunting’s return to the Premier League, a tournament he hasn’t featured in for some time - which is the perfect chance for him to prove just why the PDC selected him for the event.

Where to Watch and Start Time

Week One of the Premier League kicks off this Thursday night with coverage starting at 7pm. Sky Sports has the exclusive rights for the Premier League of Darts with this weeks instalment available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event.
